EE Prison Ministry
Faith Based
Study
How it works.
. .
TEAMS Luke 10:1 “the Lord. . .sent them two and two”
Two new students meet with, are
accountable to, and are encouraged by a more experienced student.
HOMEWORK 2 Tim
2:15 “study to show thyself approved, a workman. .”
Each week there are assignments in
reading, memory work, and practicing the gospel presentation with an
experienced student.
VISITATION James 1:22 “be ye doers of the
Word and not hearers only”
As students
learn their scriptures and illustrations, they become more confident and
active during personal witnessing opportunities. In addition to witnessing as a way of
life, the students receive instruction that enables them to easily
assimilate into the local church’s EE outreach ministry upon their
release. This course does
not promote proselytizing, but instead helps the students to
articulate their understanding of the Bible during personal witnessing
opportunities on the compound.
REPORT TIME Luke 10:17 “the seventy
returned with joy saying. . .”
After each week, there is a time of reporting. This greatly increases the learning
experience with inspiration and information gained by the witnessing
experiences of other students.
PRAYER
PARTNERS Eph 6:19 “and pray on my behalf, that utterance
may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness
the gospel”
Prayer is vital! By acknowledging God, He directs the path
of a successful EE ministry. Each
participant enlists two prayer partners for spiritual and moral support.
FINAL CHECKUP Philippians 1:6 “being confident
of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete
it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
At the completion
of 12 assignments, the student will be administered a checkup by the
Chaplain or volunteer (appointed by the Chaplain). EEPM will provide the Chaplain with an
oral and written checkup. When the
completed checkup meets EEPM graduation criteria, the student will receive
a diploma or lay/trainer certification.
Upon request, a college credit certificate will be sent to the
desired college institution for approval of 3 or 6 credit hours.
